  • Does anybody know why so-called lo-carb stuff is always so revoltingly sweet?

Surely people who are trying to lose weight should also be trying to re-educate their tastes towards less fattening foods at the same time as doing whatever diet they're on? It seems to me that it's in the best interests of all the major food manufactures to keep people addicted to sweet sugary foods, so they will think they need to keep buying their products!

Or an I just cynical?  ???

the reason it is so sugary is because of the amount of artificial sweetner and an ingredient called Maltilol (i think that is how you spell it). Thsi ingredient is basically the Sugars (sorry sweeteners) that give it that sweeet taste - it also gives you wind as it is fibre based. :-[
