gold may not have any intrinsic value, but as money it has no better rival.

    Of course.

But a house cannot fulfill the requirements of money.

    Some good news icon7.gif

The biggest sterling devaluation since the collapse of the Gold Standard in the 1930s is starting to reap rewards, economists declared yesterday, as fresh figures showed a dramatic improvement in Britain's current account and household balance sheets.

And you can even spend it when you !!!!!! it out.......
Ingesting edible gold leaf and edible silver leaf
Generally speaking, there is no danger in ingesting Edible Gold. Gold is an inert metal that simply passes through the intestinal system. Edible Gold will pass out of the body after about 24 hours unchanged without causing any harm or reaction on the body.

    How cool is that?

    How cool is that?

Dr Karl (an Aussie who is on BBC Radio 5, ABC and also on the radio in the US) claimed last week that the maximum amount of gold you can consume in a lifetime is 1g. More than that could risk your health.

No idea if it's true but he is a very entertaining fellow and I suggest you check him out.

If I may be a little pedantic I did say a bar of gold rather than leaf.

I use gold leaf a fair bit ...when feeling extravagant, and with the cakes I sell.

There is a big range of expensive stuff you can eat if you want to....selfridges food hall has an expensive whacky food section, for example.

Can I suggest that in this case your pedantry has blocked out your sense of humour.
