i was referring to comercial lending to businesses not related to commercial property.
Typo on my part, I actually meant general commerical lending.
There are two sides to lending, supply of lending (banks) and demand for that lending (companies). The supply of money has increased but lending hasn't, what is that telling us ? I think its clear that business are not borrowing to invest because they are concerned about the future.
Lending to residential is increasing because both the supply and demand is there.
Whether the supply of funds can continue to increase to support the 'recovering' housing market without QE is a question worth debating.0
