Kensington Financial Management Consultants any good?

Can anyone shed some light on this company: Kensington Financial Management Consultants? my wife was put in contact with them by one of the catalouges she has. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of them good or bad? on the phone they sound fantastic and as mum always says "if it sounds to good to be true........"

After just a quick look at their website I would probably say avoid. The only thing they volunteer that seems to be free is their phone advice.
I read between the lines of that to mean they charge for their debt management services.
Try contacting CCCS/Payplan they truely are free and just as helpfull if not more so.
They have free websites and will give a honest view on the options available.

I agree. I think they will push her to an IVA if remotely possible.

Right, before anyone calls me a troll or tries to claim I work for them, Im not either! (Look at my post history, I talk about my place of work quite often and it most certainly aint Kensington!) :D

Im with them and they are brilliant - they have been really good with my DMP. At no point was an IVA mentioned, they said it wouldnt be suitable for me. They have even negotiated a discount on some of my debts - yes, they do charge a fee but I used to work in third party debt management liason for Capital One and have seen them all - the good, the bad and the ugly :D and can truthfully say they're ok compared to some. They've never made any false promises about when my debt would paid off, and they've always swiftly dealt with any problems I've had.

I know that people on here would say in EVERY case either go for one of the debt charities or go it alone, but as I've always said none of the charities would touch me so I really had no option, but as an honest opinion they are alright.
