Festive wrapping paper

Homebase in Shrewsbury had lots of rolls of this reduced to 29p. That's me sorted for the mass wrapping on Christmas eve. Also picked up rolls of just plain shiny red and green (same price) as they will be ok for birthday wrapping throughout the year.:T

Thanks for that invisiblecabbage read you post last night before I went to bed. Never really go to Homebase but decided to pop in as I was in town and got some for me and some for friend 29p really pleased as like you say some will be ok for birthday presents. They had matching labels for 9p. Also lots of christmas decorations reduced. Box of baubles [think there were 50 in box] gold or silver reduced from £4.99 to 49p. Have plenty decorations so resisted. :j

:TI went into local Homebase and managed to get loads of curling ribbon for pressies (reduced from £2.99 a pack to 25p a pack) so my family will be getting pretty presents this year and bags of pary poppers for 25p and a table decoration that cost me £1.17!!

Thanks OP - mine had 3-roll packs (with tags) at 29p too - picked up three packs, so that's next year, and quite possibly the year after, dealt with :)

My Mum works in a shop next to Homebase so went there after she finshed work and managed to get me 9 rolls or wrapping paper, 9 packs of tags, 6 packs of ribbon with 2 bows in each, a behaviour chart, some suction cups for putting up decorations, some smelly bag things all for a total of £6.50. The wrap is gorgeous, the ribbons match and so do the bows so my wrapping is going to be spot on next year!!! No cards left at all though.

    THanks to OP

  • :D Thank-you OP!

Just got home from my second trip to Homebase as i wanted to stock up :D

    I've bought -

    Rolls of wrapping paper 29p
    Tags 9p
    Box of cards 9p
    Tree decorations 49p

I'm most pleased with these plum hand made glass tea light candle holders.
They were £1.99 down to 99p so i bought 2 and went home.
I then realised there was a sign that said "christmas clearance all items 49p" so i went back and bought 10 more, the till said 99p so i showed the man the sign and he changed it to 49p. I'm so pleased as they are lovely for presents once wrapped up nicely all for £6.88 :j

  • :j So glad I have helped you all out. I have to admit even I went back Christmas Eve and picked up a few more items, some lovely hurricane lamps in gold crackle design and red crackle design £2.99 instead of £4.99.:T
