Questions on the Initial OR phone call

A friend of mine petitioned today.

All went well in the court.

Then they had the initial telephone call with the OR’s office.

They were asked to list all their creditors over the phone.

My friend didn’t mind – maybe just a little surprised, as the BR papers will of course be winging their way to the OR.

What usually happens on the initial OR call?

Just asked us about our bank accounts, and then arranged our proper interview for a later date.

    Thanks everyone.

@ debt - Yes it was the partnership forms - (and again sincere thanks for all your help with those - it all went smoothly).

They are probably just being extra carefull, as when partnerships come up everyone looks at each other in the OR's office, as they are not common

Debt - that is exactly what happened.

The court staff were quite excited that they were dealing with something a bit different.

The Judge too had rarely seen a P/T B/R - and he was thrilled as well.

"Thrilled" might be pushing it a bit.

But he was pleased it was all done properly.

    Thanks Curly,

Unfortunately it wasn't my B/R - it was some good friends of mine.

I sooo much wish it was me - as I'm battling like a madman with debt.

And am busy preparing for the big event.

I've gone completely OCD in getting all the details, information and every answer that I (will probably never) need.

I can't just leg it to the Court and get it all done - because the second the Judge says "good luck script, I'm pleased to tell you you are officially B/R"

I will instantly (if not sooner) lose my job.

So in the meantime I am happily getting more OCD and looking for gainful "B/R friendly" employment well before my name hits the register.
