Perfume Parlour delays

I put my first order in over a fortnight ago, following on from so many recommendations on here, for delivery to friends in France. When I found out yesterday that the order hadn't been received I sent them an email asking what was happening and received a very offhand reply which said that the order had been sent (no details of when) and they took no responsibility for postal delays.
I appreciate that they must be busy at this time of year and of course the post is probably slow but I wonder if anyone has had similar delays or equally offhand replies? I asked them when the order was actually sent and I'm waiting for them to get back to me as there's nothing much else to do at the moment.
Any thoughts?

Hi
i ordered on the 7th of december.
and hadnt heard etc by the 15th, so asked them if all was OK, and i understood it was busy for posties at this time of year.
got email back saying i needed to give it more time. so wasnt a rude email.
i got my perfume on the 17th.
the weather has probably not help, and the time of year.
not nice for them to be offhand though, since we are actually paying for the items.THANKS to everyone who posts competitions. you are all :A.0 -
I suppose if it took 10 days to the UK, then a fortnight to France isn't too bad. I'll give it a couple of days more and see how it goes.
Thanks for the reply.0 -
It must be the postal service. I've ordered from Perfume-Parlour quite a few times (like half a dozen) and always received my orders within three or four days, sometimes sooner.0

I ordered stuff early in December and received an email from them apologising that the things I wanted were out of stock and could choose alternatives. As i had to check with DD who wanted it by the time I got back to them my original choices were in stock and delivered promptly, emails I received from them were courteous and friendly.BitterAndTwisted wrote: »It must be the postal service.
