Hareys Bristol Cream

Hi,

I'ml looking for some advice please. I have a bottle of Harveys Bristol cream sherry which I opened last Christmas in the cupboard. It smells fine and I am reluctant to buy another bottle as it will only be a couple of people that want a glass. I haven't tasted it as it's not something I drink and wouldn't be sure how it should taste. Does sherry keep indefinitely or should I not risk it and buy a new bottle? Thanks for any advice

It's only supposed to last about 6 months once opened, but as long as it isn't cloudy and it doesn't smell "weird" then it should be fine. It might have lost some of its flavour though.
  • hi,

i drank some sherry we had had since last christmas - again harveys - last week and it was fine - and it has survived a house move, being stuck in warm cupboard for 6 months etc!

Should be fine, unless smells off! The alcohol will kill all the bugs i imagine! lol lol But dont quote me on that! lol

    merry christmas

  • I've just finished last year's port, and still have Baileys from last year too. My boyfriend says his Gran used to have one glass of sherry each Christmas, and has the same bottle on the go for years!
  • Ditto, it will be absolutely fine :D
