It's not compulsory yet, Ceph to buy food from a supermarket.
Lots of options, grow your own for instance. Foraging, shop around, even raid the supermarket bins.
We have consumer groups, sites like this, trading standards more than enough protection.0 -
This isn't an individual consumer issue it's a global environmental one. For every person who bothers about waste there are plenty that don't, hence we are having to grow far more food than necessary in a world which is supposed to be going short. Quite a proportion of greenhouse gases are from Agriculture. Regulation is the only solution.0
