Viagra

I've successfully stopped the spammers sending me emails about Viagra but now a friend of mine (promise!) actually wants to buy some.

Anybody have any ideas where to go for the genuine article at a sensible price?

Isn't Viagra a prescription drug and don't be 'hard' on your friend. It isn't his fault.

  • Make sure your friend swallows them properly. They may give him a stiff neck if he doesn't.

To his GP. I believe prescriptions are about £7.00 now. If you get it anywhere else (other than a private doctor, but why bother paying several hundred when the NHS is so lovely to us all?) there is a chance of it having rat poison, bleach, dust, anything at all in it. Want to chance that for the 'embarrassment' of seeing your GP? (who really really doesn't give a monkey's about it - he/she will see far more gigglesome and interesting ailments than a bit of a soft willy, I speak from experience here).
Do not feed the trolls please.
  • Yes, totally agree. When you want prescription medication you go to the doctor who will (if it is needed) give you a wonderfully subsidised prescription.

How did you do that please?
    I am still getting them.

Viagra is only available on the NHS for impotence due to a specific number of conditions.
If you have none of these you should not be prescribed it on the NHS and will have to pay for a private prescription and the cost of the drugs.

This is straight off the NHS site.

NHS treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED) is only available for a limited list of medical conditions.
Men whose ED is associated with any of the following conditions are eligible to receive treatment on an NHS prescription:
    • diabetes
    • kidney failure requiring dialysis
    • kidney transplant
    • multiple sclerosis
    • Parkinson’s disease
    • polio
    • prostate cancer
    • removal of the prostate gland (prostatectomy, including men who have had a transurethral resection of the prostate)
    • radical pelvic surgery
    • severe pelvic injury
    • single-gene neurological conditions
    • spinal cord injury
    • spina bifida.
If ED is judged to cause you severe distress, you can also receive treatment on the NHS - although this will need to be assessed by a specialist.
This involves outpatients and regular hospital follow up.

    HTH your friend.
  • thanks for the information friend.
  • Does he want to put them in his eyes so he can look hard................................................ !?
