crazygirl - you amaze me with all your bargains:T

I'm after ideas now for a cheap and cheerful mothers day pressie for MIL
Last year I did a box of assorted birthday and blank cards I'd made............she said she loved them but I wasn;t so sure.
I've done an ''elevenses box'' for a birthday the other year so can't really repeat that
She's housebound and a bit of a tele addict -she's not able to do much else to be honest..............so, ideas anyone ??
(can't get out so has to be something I can make or re-cycle)

Oh, and shan't be about tomorrow due to bone scan and then physio on Thursday :)

  • would she like a craft kit to make something such as a scarf knitting kit or something similar?

Lovely sock monkey and what a lovely hamper :T

I'm trying to do bits slow but sure..........very slow in fact...........but, I've done couple of fabric hearts and OH found a cream apron in a drawer so I've put a length of fabric round the top of the pocket. Want to applique some flowers on it if I can find some material with the right sort of thing on. I'm sure there's some lurking in a drawer somewhere.

Keep looking around at other bits I can recycle this year now I can't get out of the house (for a while anyway). Got several jars I could maybe paint something on (there should be some glass paints somewhere -maybe same drawer as the fabric I'm after) Trouble is, I can't forage for it all at the minute.
Scrapbook paper I ordered for the scrapbook I intend to do for me and OH arrived today along with couple of little wooden signs (blank) to paint and see if I can paint some wording on them so that'll make a change from sewing.............lol

    thank you mary op :)

crazygirl - MIL used to knit and do all sorts but now she's arthritus quite bad and can't do anything like that
Just had a thought though............she does love puzzle books and at Christmas foster-daughter bought me a ''brain teazer'' book with all sorts in.....I keep going back to it to do a few more.
I'll ask her where she got it from..........that might fit the bill.
