Enviro wash balls.. any good?

Hi all,
I keep seeing these green wash valls for sale, and am wondering whether to give them a go. Has anyone tried these and do they actually get your washin clean? My partner works in the building trade and really needs a deep clean. I spend a small fortune on Powder. He has excema so this is an added problem, very sensitive skin.
