Estee Lauder Beautiful alternative?

I hope someone can help.

It's that time of year when OH has decided to think about starting his christmas shopping. :rolleyes:

His Mum has worn Estee Lauder Beautiful for years - but he doesn't want to get the usual for her this year.

Does anyone who likes/wears Beautiful, know of alternative perfumes she might also like? I can't even think what Beautiful smells like so don't know where to start.

Or, I'm sure i've seen a site that suggests similar smelling perfumes to your usual - but a google search isn't finding anything.

A couple of the reviewers at Basenotes.net liken Beautiful to Halston and Eternity and another site recommends Boss Woman and Cerruti 1881 Pour Femme for lovers of Beautiful.

For myself, I wouldn't buy a scent for someone without knowing for certain whether they already liked it, it's a very, very personal thing and usually something a woman should be doing for herself.

I like Estee Lauder Beautiful but Ive changed to Estee Lauder Pleasures Exotic which is a lovely fresh, flowery scent. Perfume is a personal thing though and I find fragrances smell different on me than other people I know. If you want to buy something different though I would just try a different Estee Lauder rather than buying a completely different brand.

My mum likes beautiful and I started wearing estee lauder sensuous its lovely and my mum now wears that too as she liked it on me. Don't know if that helps.
