littlejaffa I did not understand why you posted this again, the same information is posted above by surfsister at 9.29am this morning ?

and your comment about the content of the articles was totally unncessary, (in my opinion),

The post by surfsister at 9.39 tells you the discount value - not the full magazine cost or content - I googled for this info to decide if it was worth me buying the newspaper/getting the vouchers.
I thought posting my findings would save anyone else doing the same.
You will notice I have not just posted the same information as surfsister, but added to it with my findings.
    Specifically; content & cost additions
I wanted to know the content to see if it was a magazine I would be interested in - I only go for freebies that are interesting/usefull to me.
I posted the content of one magazine I was not familiar with - it wasn't comment as you say but a cut & paste directly from the magazines own advertising. (I didn't post the other as i hadn't searched for their official description as I'm familiar with that magazine). I would have given the same info for your freebie post (Love it magazine) but couldn't find them in a quick google.
I wanted to know the cover price to know if it was a tiny % of, or an almost free mag, that would effect my decision to take up the freebie.

I am truly sorry I need to justify a good intention (to save other people gooling the info) and fend of attacks.
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.

usually when I get there, the shop has sold out ! but don't forget the real people magazine costing 30p has vouchers worth £2.39 as per coupon-mad's post above.

With Tesco's policy of accepting vouchers without buying the magazines or products it is well worth doing as extra savings off shopping.

£1.50 off She mag (Magazine of positive and inspiring articles on women for lesbians.) Cover Price: £3.00
I posted the content of one magazine I was not familiar with - it wasn't comment as you say but a cut & paste directly from the magazines own advertising
I think there has been a slight misunderstanding here:rotfl: , namely:

    www.shemag.com vs www.she.co.uk

The former is indeed a "Magazine of positive and inspiring articles on women for lesbians", and the latter is, erm, not! :D To clarify, the voucher in the Mail is for the latter (can't imagine the Mail advertising a magazine for lesbians :rotfl:  )...

I'm sure littlejaffa posted with the best of intentions; however, Google can be a dangerous thing if you don't know exactly what you're looking for. :D

    if it helps anyone decide...

    Mail £2 coupons page 46/62

£1.50 off She mag (Magazine of positive and inspiring articles on women for lesbians.) Cover Price: £3.00

50p off Yours mag - Cover Price: £1.30

I think you will find that most people buy the paper for the coupons with no intention whatsoever of actually purchasing the item they are for but to reduce their supermarket bill.

I must admit when I read that description of She magazine I thought how much it had changed since I last read a copy years ago! :rotfl:

Thanks to Welshy for the reminder for newbies (you know I don't need it!!) that the point of the newspaper thread is to help us accumulate a stash of coupons, to use as cash towards any groceries.

It doesn't matter what the magazine or product mentioned on the coupon is, if you have a local Tesco, Asda or Waitrose who will accept money-off vouchers without buying the named item. That is why we rush out and buy multiple copies (just leave some on the shelves for me!!) :D

(later edit: Oscar, just seen your post, great minds think alike!)

  • Thanks for Daily Mail 'heads up' today. Bought it & gave in both vouchers at Tesco this evening along with a couple of others + £2 & £1 coupon from the July Sainsbury mag (which was free from a Sains. mail shot voucher I got), split my shop on the checkout so got my 2 lots of 3 coups allowed (plus an extra one as have got to know a friendly cashier!) total saving £7.20 - all thanks to tips I've learned here - Thank You! :-)
  • Tried to use the She coupon in Asda self scan tonight (they only got these tills last week) but it wouldn't scan. Supervisor punched the number in manually and it went through fine. Thanks for posting.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

  • Greetings, just finally sat down with my paper and noticed that on page 28 there are 2 x 30p vouchers for Love it magazine - valid until 26th June 2006

    The Sun costs 35p

    Hope that helps someone
Mt Asda are usually great but will not accept these, they don't scan and they don't put them in manually. I actually bought the mag to see if it worked and they did take it but it was a slow process. Any ideas why?
