Homebase crackers
december
I don't know if this has already been posted but I went into Homebase today and all crackers had been reduced to at least £9.99. 6 luxury crackers with silver plated photoframes etc were £30 now £7.50 and 12 crackers were £20 now £5. They also had wrapping paper reduced to £1 a roll from £2 and all of their Christmas decorations are reduced for example their 50 bauble sets were £3 instead of £5.

I too went to Homebase today.... specifically to check out the cracker situation.
I thought the crackers looked about the right price AFTER discount - £30 is def a RIP OFF for the crappy gifts inside.
Was about to buy a mid-range pack, when I decided to compare against Sainsburys crackers - in the shop next door.
THEY HAD EXACTLY THE SAME CRACKERS, SAME PACKAGING, SAME GIFTS, SAME PRICE (Sainsburys standard price the same as HB discounted).
This homebase "deal" is marketing guff of the highest order. Avoid.0 -
I don't know if you saw the same ones that I did portal, but the £30 ones were definitely worth more than £7.50 as they had stainless steel gifts but each to their own. ETA - the Sainsburys ones like these http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/groceries/frameset/redirect.jsp;GROSESSIONID=LvJQpSF2wyQq9MpcbnvXxhmW5LpT2qCJfZk7TRy046xZ8rB5zcSy!-525663916!1722848288?bmForm=deep_link_groceries_search_javascript&bmFormID=1261425888225&bmUID=1261425888225 are £5 but only 6 as opposed to the 12 for the same price in HB.BSC support number 158

Yes, these had the stainless steel items inside... the items looked OK, but I still had the feeling that my Xmas guests would still not exactly treasure the items - so didn't think it was worth the extra over the normal ones.0 -
The 15% off is only for Kitchen and bathrooms and has a minimum spend of £500
