Time to remortgage

We are in the process of remortgaging. We instructed our own solicitor 3 weeks ago at the same time as applying for the mortgage. The offer is taking ages, although it should be through in a couple of days time. However, we were hoping to complete by July 1st. Is this still realistic? Will the solicitor have enough time to complete all the searches etc by then?

You should really be asking your solicitor as it is impossible for anyone to say without knowing what they have or have not done so far.
If they are ready then they should be able to request the funds as soon as the offer comes out, with the 'normal' timescale from request of funds to completion being approx 1 working week.

I agree with Mr Smith that you really need to talk to your solicitor. I also found that my mortgage offer took an age to come through but it did arrive eventually. Solicitors are used to being hassled so just call them and if they cannot complete on your preferred date they will suggest another.
Perhaps you have problems with your post?
Good luck,
