Amazon gift certificates expired

I had £50 in my Amazon account, I was just about to order something this morning and the money has gone. Doing a search on Google, it seems that it might have expired, so who has got my money now and has anyone been in this position before and managed to get the money back? Thanks for any advice.

Did you get a response from Amazon about this? It's something that has worried me, as I get survey vouchers with long dates and just had some gift vouchers with a one year expiry. Not sure if they get used up in chronological order or order of submission to your account IYSWIM.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0
