Buying British Meat

With all the media attention that meat can be labelled as British if it was last processed in this country and my increasing desire to eat meat raised to higher welfare standards I have been looking at what is the most cost effective whilst still having higher welfare standards meat. I am aware that the RSPCA freedom food…

Sadly even a red tractor does not mean British raised, from url quoted by Floyd

"Many schemes use the Red Tractor logo, and food which meets its standards is almost always produced in Britain, but could occasionally come from other countries if those foods meet that scheme’s standards. If you want to check whether the food you’re buying has been grown, processed and packed in the UK you need to look for a Union flag"

Also no sign of just what the standards are, back to confusion
