mis-selling endowment mortgage help!

I have an endowment mortgage with a very large insurance company but was sold it in 1986 by a local independant advisor company that has long since ceased trading. Any ideas where I can direct my mis-selling complaint to? I have had the warning letter from the insurance company etc..... Is it worth complaining to them?

Unfortunately if you were sold the endowment by an IFA before regulation came in in 1988, you have no protection.:( The insurance company is not responsible so it's a waste of time complaining to them.Trying to keep it simple...

Hmmm, that's what I feared. Thanks for your comments.0
