Borrowing on Mortgage with a bad credit record

Hi,
Basicly My mortgage is £52,000 and the house is worth £145,000
My Mortgage is up to date and payments have been on time, I need to borrow about £20,000 for urgent house repairs.

When you ask them for a remortgage do they do a credit check??

I am in a DMP, just wondering if I will be told NO ?????

I am with ABBEY not moving it just asking for more cash!

Can't advise you on the credit check but will you be breaking your DMP agreement by re-mortgaging?
