I have had a similar problem!
I have placed several orders (or tried to) with lx direct and have used codes or coupons similar to the ones in this thread. The discount often appears in delivery oprions field but when I go to pay by CC or DC the total spend is without the discounts?! I even applied for the flexible payment option and when I received email confirmation of my order, only the 10% code showed up - even though the £15 voucher seemed to have been applied at the delivery option stage when I 'submited my order'. I know that the quantity of goods I am paying for excedes the minimum spend (normall £20) so is it that they know they haven't sent me the codes personally?! I noticed that there is a very specific section of their T&Cs that relates to this matter of not receiving the codes directly. Could any of you more regular Lx users fill me in please!
Thanks!0 -
Thats illegal.
Call them and demand the discount that is printed on the final checkout confirmation screen.
I put an order in yesterday and it shows -£13.50 on the final checkout screen (which I saved and printed) but doesn't show it in an email.
If they don't refund the £13.50, I'll be threatening court action.
They don't have a leg to stand on.0 -
Actually they do. The onus is on you to prove that they sent the specific code to you if they demand where you obtained the voucher from. It's in the terms and conditions. Littlewoods charged me for two vouchers I used recently.0

Hmm.
Well, I was charged the full amount and haven't had the £13.50 credited yet, so it looks like they are gonna try to keep it.
However, the amount on my quidco transaction is the lower amount after the £13.50 discount.
Now they are stealing from me!!
Anyway, I'm still pretty sure that if you are presented with a final amount to pay on your card and they charge a different amount, they aren't legally entitled to take anything different than what is stated.
If they wish to query the voucher, they should do so before charging and sending my goods out.0 -
mine went through fine and the discount came in the confirmation e-mail. Got £22.50.Barclaycard 3800

I see their T's+C's entry that states if the voucher is found to be misused, they reserve the right to reclaim its value.
However, I am pretty sure we have statutory rights (or similar) that can not be over-ridden with small print T's+C's.
What they say they will charge at check-out must be what they charge.
Has anyone managed to get the £13.50 back after a complaint yet?
If not, does anyone know which statutory right or which section X of which law might help me confirm what I believe is the case?
Worst case scenario, I just go via the bank to get the £13.50 back.0
