Congrats to all who have paid off something or have reduced the debt a bit more!!
I am working a lot, I am reducing the costs and I am paying everything I can into my cc. At this rate and surprisingly I will be able to pay the cc by June. Then I will have to deal with the loan and the overdraft but those are not so worrying. The od is a student od interest free for another year, the loan has a great low interest rate and I can pay chunks when I want without fee because those were the t&c when I took it. So once I pay the cc I am going to save big chunks to pay the loan sooner. I am really happy about that!! I will report soon once the interests have biten my account.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Hi All
Been away from the challenge for some time, all our CCs are paid off, now we have one loan to pay and are saving hard to pay it off in a lump sum, as it's not paid off yet I'm not delaring it against our total, I have paid the regular payments though so my new total for now is
£9300
Just £5995 to go, most of that is saved, should be paid off by the end of May I hopeDebt free 11/05/11!

Paid almost a £1k this month!!!
I think that is around 41%, I am amazed and pleased. I know I will not be able to keep this rate and at some point I will start paying small amounts again but I am so so so pleased!!!

Nice one Swinstie and everyone else who has managed to kick some debts into touch. I've had a better month than I was expecting and can't help feeling I've gone wrong somewhere, cos i seemed to be constantly paying out this past month but it's probably the reduction in interest lightening the load. Still, very exciting to see I'm on the downhill with a less than halfway to go now.
