    Hi Everyone,

I have paid off £167.27 making a total paid to date of £6463.71 which is about 36% paid off.

Well it looks like I may be with you till the end of the race (and beyond!) trying to shift this debt. I had high hopes of paying about £800 a month off but DH has decided in his wisdom that we should send the overpayments to the mortgage instead. This challenge is to pay off my student loan. His logic is that the mortgage interest rate is higher than my student loan (very marginally) and no-one ever lost their house because of a student loan debt!

I totally see his logic, but this is my very last debt and it would have been cleared by about this time next year. I won't be able to call myself debt free for years and years... And all my payments to this challenge from now on will be tiny. :(

Hey ho! Onwards and upwards. :)

Hi everyone atm I am only updating the totals not the total for the whole group as my laptop has a virus :( and my excel doc that helps me do this is unaccessible. Hopefully when i get my laptop back next week or the week after then it will be updated.

Well done on payments everyone, esp with xmas around the corner. :T

  • Well, considering my diary is called "Getting ready for the olympics" and my user name has 2012 on the end of it, surely it's destingy for my debts to be cleared by then.

Fortunately, in comparison to some, it's a little debt, so I should have no difficulty whatsoever

So add my £2000 to the total purleeese

Well done everyone (Purpleroses YAY!!) - thank you Skaps for keeping this going, I am sorry I ahven't been here but my health really took a turn for the worse and I am only just clawing myself back (added to a health scare for my father as well it has NOT been a good year), my CC is still nearly at the top BUT I have nearly cleared my overdraft so I am nibbling away. Not sure I will get there in the next 18 months but going to give it my best!
