The holding page also comes up when the site crashes ... it happened a few times when Go Go Hamsters stock appeared before Christmas.
Mmmmmmm.....now I wonder if thousands of people have suddenly logged on thinking the sale is tonight as previously thought on here and several other sites. That may be it..............hope not!!!0 -
Im gonna try and stick it out!!
You can all have updates on hatching eggs as i might aswell keep an eye on them all night now0 -
omg, holding page, is it on?? looking good so far!0

When the holding page comes on does that mean they are updating sale prices?
Does this always result in change of prices of things? (ie we arent waiting around the find they have a new skincare range are we?!)
How long does it usually take? (considering having a two hour nap hehe)
Does this look good for sale in store tomorrow?????
Sweetie, the answer to all of your questions is ...............
Nobody ever knows! That's why at the same time last year, folk stayed up for three nights running because Boots kept sodding about with the web site, and then it crashed.
Some got their orders through who came on for 2 minutes, and were lucky enough to get a window, and others had matchsticks propping their eyes open, but still the web site crashed for them.
That's what drives us all to distraction! Have got £200 worth of toys sitting in my basket, reduced to £100, and it would be great to get them for £50!

My bf went to bed a couple of hours ago muttering something about whether it was really worth getting no sleep for some baby toys and make up? I kindly reminded him of the lovely Christmas presents he got because I spent so much time stalking sales and therefore could afford such gifts. I can now here him snoring on the baby monitor!2010 Comp wins: Lamaze baby toy, Cushelle koala, Frusli bars, knitted monkey, nursery rhyme DVD
Christmas sorted for my LO (apart from Frusli bars - they're mine!)0 -
Dya know what, those boots techno geeks doing all their stuff on the site are sooooooooooo looking at this thread, going "Look at those wollys, we told them like 100 times that the sale is postponed and they still sit there looking at the comedy picture we chose as our holding page thinking they are gonna get a bargain - Wake up people!"
But the thing is, we will still sit here, despite what we were told, as we cant bear to miss out! A lot of us probably need professional help!!!0 -
