    I've never thought of it that way. But yes, it does. Maybe that's the reason it works.

    We have a big, ancient, ornate mirror we bought and sprayed bright lime green and about a hundred pictures of friends, family and holidays all in various lime green frames that cover one wall.

    I'm going to stop now, I sound mental.

    No, just brave and ....like you like old fashioned sweet shops. At least you don't have a plastic bird clock, or anything tacky like that.:o

    You could paint the framey bit. Its dark green. One of the three birds that hops out to yell in a different bird song on the hour has lime green bits on it.

    White walls, dark wood and a runner on the stairs. I have loads of mirrors to try and reflect what little light there is. I am frequently tempted to paint all the woodwork white. It would transform the whole house.

    I can't quite bring myself to do it though. I lack courage :(
