I dont like the idea of having to buy all those pods though. What is the best bean to coffee machine?

Not really I wouldn't have thought, more that that is also part of the reduced range. It has been reduced by £60, to £99.99 also with a note

    * Please note item 4233361 has previously been on sale at £109.99.

I've got mine next to my bed so I don't have to get out of bed in the morning before I have a coffee! But what I'm going to do during the week is use normal coffee, and just use it as a convenient kettle, and save the pods for weekends/guests etc... It works just as well like that, and for herbal teas too (don't know about normal tea as I don't drink it)

Plus one pack of pods is about the same as one drink from starbucks - and I'd say it's just as good. Just got to get some flavoured syrups from there!

And you collect codes each time you buy pods etc to get free stuff from the website...

    I'm disappointed - nobody's mentioned Nestle yet...

BTW - there's a load of offers on coffee machines around at the moment - tassimo/senseo/etc. I'm sure there's one around for less than £30.

The senseo is £24 @ Comet but there is not the extensive choice of pods available compared to other machines. I looked into this before settling on mine. My local supermarkets only stock medium and dark roast coffees for the senseo, no options for hot choc, lattes, capuccinos etc.

  • Does anyone have a promotional code for Currys?
  • I bought one about two years ago and couldn't live without it, worth every penny. I paid about £50 for mine, in was from Southern Electric Website. If you register on their website they periodically send out free samples and last year sent free pods at Christmas. I also save the codes from the pod boxes and then get free boxes from them when I've saved enough.

From another POV, I bought a senseo, my late Dad bought the Dolce Gusto. The DG was returned to currys within a week as Dad liked his coffee hot and that just produced "warm" not very nice coffee. My senseo lasted probably a month before the novelty (and again not especially nice coffee) wore off.

If you are a coffee lover I'd personally suggest going for the percolator every time. Cheaper and a nicer brew!
