Thanks for the quick replys:D
My credit cards are as follows
Nationwide = 7781.38 @ 14.9%
Mbna = 4502.21 @ 16.9%
Have just found out that my 0% has run out :mad:
So it looks like I will pay off the Mbna first.I cant apply for a another 0% card because I have a poor credit rating.
I dont really want to get rid of my car as I use it to go fishing which saves me loads of money that I would spend going out drinking all weekend.Also fishing costs me nothing only about a tenner in fuel........... I'am going to get my self a second hand bike this weekend to go to work on so I only willuse my car at weekends.
My House insurance is a little higher than most because I have my fishing stuff on it and it is quite vailiable..........Couldn't bear to lose it....:eek:
I have changed my broadband package so I only pay 14.99 instead of 17.99
Also I have listed a few things on ebay using the turbo lister..........DMP Support Member366Debt Feb 2010:£20292:eek:Debt Sept 2014 : 0 :T0 -

So it looks like I will pay off the Mbna first. Yes, but obviously keep up minimum payments on the other one.
I cant apply for a another 0% card because I have a poor credit rating. Might be worth a try though, or at least to get a lower interest card. Do you bank with Nationwide? Perhaps you could get a loan off them at a lower interest than you're paying on their credit card, then pay off the CC and chop it up?

Might be worth checking with your insurance company if they'll give you a discount because your mileage will be lower.

Even so, though - do you think you have more than 75K of contents? I've got loads of computer stuff and after I added all the contents 75K is still plenty. If any individual items are worth over £1500 you usually have to name them on the policy anyway. I think it would be worth ringing round and explaining exactly what you've got and see what you come up with.

Well done on both of these.
Keep up the good work!0 -

Hi bongo1
Two suggestions:
Phone the credit card companies. I had a (Virgin) card through MBNA. They offered me a six month extension on the interest free. All I needed to do was transfer the money in and then back out again. If you don't have the capacity to do this, ask for an interest rate reduction.
Martin has a posting somewhere on how to do this somewhere.
They also told me that they have a daily quota of special deals. Phone them in the moring.
My other suggestion is to get a copy of your credit reports. You'll be surprised what's missing etc. You might find that a company that you've paid regularly isn't updating your file. Many companies will update your file if you ask them.If I can't have world domination, I'll settle for debt domination instead:D

Just a quick update
Its has been a hectic few weeks, My work have took me off shift work so am now 233.00 quid down on pay a month which really gave me the hump.Just when I thought I was going to get on top of everything:mad:
Anyway a friend of mine has offered me a job with him but the only downside is that I would have to go self employed which is quite a jump for me as I have been working at my current employers for 10 years............So I quit my job and am now going to work with my mate........The money is based on price work so there is potential to earn alot more money than I have been plus I wont be doing so many hours...........Am feeling as little nervous but I thought this will give more motivation to clear my debts by taking the new job
Sorry for rambling on.................

Your not rambling on Bongo!!
So have you started being self employed yet?:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
I start work next monday cant wait :j
I went and got my card from the tax office today.....I'm off to euro disney tomorrow which I shouldn't be going as I paid for it on my card before I had my light bulb moment.............As soon as I start tackling my debt something always comes up. I'm hoping that I have a few good weeks work wise so I can get back on top of things........phewDMP Support Member366Debt Feb 2010:£20292:eek:Debt Sept 2014 : 0 :T0
