Hi all, looking for your views on this...
my current mortgage is at £61,000 with 18.5 years left and a rate of 5.75% which isn't great, and there redemption fee is £175.
my options are stay with them but move to a discounted for 3 years at 4.99% then 6% for rest of term, with a fee of £299 for the admin etc, and i'd also reduce the term down to 13 years (again another fee to make this change of £60)
or shop around for anything better, do you think there's much better out there, i've looked around and its a mine field when you start considering redemtion fees, new mortgage admin fees, layer and valuation fees etc.
has anyone found a killer deal worth looking at?

There are a few fee free deals, or deals with arrangement fees, that I believe would be better than what you are being offered.
There is no one size fits all best deal when it comes to mortgages and everyones situation is unique, so I owuld suggest having a word with a whole of market mortgage adviser to see if they can beat those figures for youI am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
