combi boiler won't work

Hi all,

Combi boiler (ideal) not working since y'day. We have emergency cover with HomeServe whom we are trying to get hold from y'day without any luck :mad:
Are they always this bad?

any way any tips / suggestions for DIY to resolve this problem?

nothing at all happening , error display ??

tried a full power off and leave alone for five minutes ??

checked boiler pressure ?

thanks for your prompt reply. when we turn it on after few seconds we get error code L and F. burner light keeps flashing along with gurgling noise.

What model Ideal Boiler is it?

It is ideal icos HE

OK on the ICOS the F means its a flame error and seeing as you've said it it tries to fire up again after reset this looks like a flame detection electrode problem. Ths is NOT DIYable and you need an RGI to look at it for you. Sorry can't be more help than that atm.
