just got an email saying they are sold out. Sounds more like they noticed they were on the website at the wrong price!!
They say they have cancelled my order, even though they send an order confirmation email before that.

I suppose they don't have to sell them, or do they???

No - this was DEFINITELY a misprice so not surprised they pulled it

They are still available if you want them though - £19.99 for Philosopher's Stone and £42.99 for Chamber of Secrets. Suggest you complain about them telling LIES and cancelling your order.

Just a quick note to say this was not a pricing mistake, it was a genuine clearance of Harry Potter cassette versions we have had in our warehouse for some time. The CDs remain full price for now.
They sold out within minutes of our email going out, some people bought 10 at a time! We have added lots more items at £1 this afternoon, in a geniune attempt to say 'sorry' (Magic Key books, Tweenies watches, Bananas in pyjamas CDs etc see http://www.brightminds.co.uk/prodpage.asp?type=prod&sub=130) and will continue to do so as we empty our warehouse for the Christmas stock.
Lessons learned for next time? Make it clear in our email that they are end of line, "when they're gone, they're gone". try to limit the number anyone can buy (?) and I have made the stock online mirror our warehouse more accurately.

The ones still on sale at the much higher prices are the CD versions, the ones that went for 99p were the cassettes. Message on the website now says that 60 copies of the cassettes went in 10 minutes this morning. Not surprising!
