Perfume Refund

Is it possible to get a credit note for perfume. I have been given some Paul Smith for Christmas and I really don't like it. It still has the cellophane wrapping on it.
Thanks

Do you know which shop the gift came from?
Happened to me once, and although it came from a snooty department store in Cheshire, I did keep their store branded ribbon around it to prove it was from there and they gladly exchanged it when I rolled up.
  • It was from Boots.

Any chance the person who bought it you has the receipt? Or you could hold on till after the Xmas rush, go and have a quiet friendly word with someone in Boots and they might let you exchange it for something of equal value, as long as it's in re-sellable condition I don't see why not.

If you have the reciept they may swap it over for you but not sure about a refund. They may decide not to though as generally speaking, toiletories are non refundable and they may place this in that group.

What I have done in the past is sell them on ebay. Not great amounts of money comming back but a prime time to sell stuff off is when there are holiday seasons as more people get board and use the net to busy themselves.

Hope this helps but a couple of months ago I took two ssellophane ealed perfumes back into Boots that I had been given - said I didnt like them - could I exchange them - not a problem - they didnt have any Boots labels on them or anything to prove that they had been purchased there (they had I know been bought from there)

I wouldnt wait until Christmas in case the price goes down even further in the after christmas sales

    Good Luck
