My partner pays his final car ent in August. He will have spent at his estimate (he refuses to add it all up even though I told him he should) £20,000 for a car that is now worth around £3000. He has been really good with paying off his debts this past year and is very lucky he earns a good wage that has enabled him to do that without it being too big a struggle. The downside is I don't think he has ever trully had his lightbulb moment and I am quite sure he would consider a car loan again in the future:eek: That will surely be an argument in the future if he wants to
