    Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Happy New Year Sarah and everyone

Anyone made any resolutions? I have 2 proper ones and then some small ones that won't need to last a full year (like tidy the attic etc)

    1. Lose weight! I got Wii fit plus for Christmas and it's really good as it tracks weight and bmi so it gives me a good incentive. It's about time I lost weight. I keep saying it's baby weight but my son turned 2 in November, so I don't think I can use that excuse anymore :o

    2. Very fitting for this group, my next resolution is to make money and be organised for special occasions and Christmas this year. I'm usually really organised about Christmas but it's dh's family's birthdays and anniversarys I'm less organised about. A couple usually slip my mind when I get busy at work and then we end up putting £20 in a card as we forgot to buy a present. This year I want to be more organised. I also want to give gifts that look like we've spent £20 without actually spending that much :D. I've started well as I bought the 3 January birthday gifts in the Boots sale and we don't have any family birthdays now until May. We have got an anniversary, Valentines and Mothers Day though so I must make myself organised for those.

Does anyone here do slice the pie? a music review site I have seen talked about on here, seems a bit too hard for me lol

    Hi Pammy

I used to do slicethepie a couple of years ago and earned quite a bit of money with them. Thing was they used to pay you for all the reviews you did even if you were lower down thier ratings list (they had this table where you sat and the higher you were the more you earned, well something like that).

Unfortunately I had to have an operation on my arm and was unable to type for long so gave it a miss for a few months and then when I went back on they had changed the way they paid you so if you were down the bottom of their ratings you didnt get money just points and you had to work your way up before you got actual money for rating. I was about half way before my op but had slipped right back down the bottom so tried getting my points up so I could earn money again but it was too much and I gave up.

They might have changed it again by now, havent been back on since, I am quite happy doing Dooyoo these days instead.

One other thing Pammy, you say you do lots of free scratch cards from different sites. I always thought you were only allowed to join one of the sites as they were all run by the same company (might be wrong as it was a long time ago I thought I heard this). I currently do them on Littlewoods but havent joined anyone else. Dont want it to go the same way that Bingo Ports did.

Hi all and a very happy New Year!

Well so far I've not done anything - I am going to list Ebay items when kids are back in school next week - have already got a few things in mind.

I'm really in awe of how some of you have managed to get so ahead with this years presents - I can't realistically do anything until around 3rd week into January as DD1's birthday is on 11th January and I have arranged a party for her - her first one ever (she will be 5) and I still have a bit to pay on that, then have to pay deposit on car insurance - has anybody else's insurance gone through the roof? My current company quoted me £850 (I've not had any claims or anything), so went on comparison sites and have managed to get it down to £300, but will need to pay £75 deposit before 17th January.

I am determined to be more organised this year - I had planned DD1's birthday since last September, but unfortunately we had to replace guttering as water was running down through the cavity wall and it cost us £600 to replace, so that put me back in paying party in installments

Anyway, will keep checking in and will get started on the challenge next week.

    Hi everyone, Happy new Year!!!

Really quick post as we're off out for a long walk after eating so much yesterday! :D

Sylphraven, thank you so much for doing the list- been through it and added everyone (I hope!:o), no time to read anyone's reviews now though! Will go through them tonight and add a couple of my own. :j

Good luck with the challenge everyone! :T

off to quite a good start - got £5 (£9 altogether but the other £4 was before Christmas) from lightspeed for a couple of short suveys and testing toilet bleach, have a dvd on ebay that is up to £5.51, jewellery set hasn't got any bids though :( up to 3750 points on dooyoo (think i might aim for he 50,000 rather than 20,000) and there was something else as well (possibly) have been trying to rate everyones reviews, might take a bit of time though!

So thats about £14 (if i have worked out dooyoo right!) so should hit the £20 soonish

oooh- just remembered got another 15,000 points on toluna which doesn't work out at much but not far off the 80,000 I need for my voucher :)

Thanks so much Sylphraven for compiling that list!

I hope I have everyone added to my 'circle of friends' on dooyoo, and have subscribed to email alerts when any of you add any new reviews, so hopefully I won't miss any!

I have written my first review this morning - actually quite enjoyed it. Got to pop off for a while now, but will hopefully get a good rating session done and perhaps another review written today.

Happy New Year everyone, and good luck for the January challenge!
