    Money making today.

    20p onepoll
    75p VO
8,500 on Toluna ( but had loads of surveys sent to me, but got screened out of most of them. If I'd have done them all, I reckon I'd have earnt 60,000  )

Have wrote two reviews for dooyoo but only posted one. Returned ratings.
Had a low spend day (went to shops but didn't take my purse, just had a fiver in my pocket, so I could only buy what I needed).

    Xmas Saver!

Hiya, I have just discovered this thread because I need to save on Christmas this year due to various changes in circs. I have used Tesco vouchers last year to buy Thorntons Chocs, and Boots advantage points to buy gifts. I have saved Nectar points to spend on food. What I would like to ask if anyone has any ideas for crafty things to do in the evening that are fairly simple and do not require much outlay, for stocking presents for grown up sons and DILs and elderly Mum. I can knit and do a little cross stitch but I am generally cack handed with anything arty, and sewing is limited to replacing buttons.

I would welcome any ideas, by the way, I can cook, so maybe sweet or biscuit recipes (the finished articles would have to be sent in the post)?

    PS What is Dooyoo?

Thanks to anyone who can help

    Hi

Welcome to the thread, I'm not the most crafty person, but a thought for mum, not being cheeky, with you saying shes older, what about a bed jacket, blanket of squares in different patterns for the bed......another thought the fleece blankets, remember last yr, that there was something similar to cutting the edges to either a fringe of knotted, or get 2 2together, trim in and know the two edges together, so it looks like a fringe.

Mary and Rufus are the ladies you need for crafting, there is also a crafting for christmas thread 2010 that has some good ideas.

Re food, you could make a printed recipie book, on the 1st page there a link to kevin at printables - american company, but free to print, and there recipie sheet they print 2 on a piece of A4 paper.

    Make food hampers,

Also back to the 1st page is a link to the sister thread, - the money making, may be some suggestions on there.

As Sarah would say grab a coffee before you start xx

    Just remembered something.

Do you know when something breaks, it usually happens in three's?

Since having the kitchen fitted our tumble drier will not work (something to do with the new rcd fuseboard). Then the microwave will only work when it wants. Then the pigeon smashed the upstairs window. So, hopefully that's the lot.

Well, my dad said he'd buy us a new microwave if I did him a favour. It turns out he needs a new one too and if I took his old one to the tip, when I took mine he'd pay. Sounds like a good deal to me!

    Right Mum2one

Is this bloke 1. good with kids. - Yes great with kids, he's spoken to dd a few times on the phone, she got on ok with him, Big tick there.
    2. a good laugh - Yes he is, we had a great laugh when we were in Tunisia (met there in 2004),

    3. got a job. - big yes, he works hard, he works in a factory that makes the paper for newspapers, not afriad of hard work or overtime

    4. unattatched - big yes, he looks after his mum, I've even spoke to her on the phone, sjhe thinks the sun shines out of my rear, apparently most of his hol photos were of us

If answer is yes to all four - I say go for it. Roll on the holiday - Have fun!!!!. Woo Hoo. :j

He doesn't drink much, he loves his car, thou he spent 20k on it, - he smokes (boo), but the caravan no smoking so he'll have to go outside;), he's very tidy, hes 46, never been married, no kids, hes had to look after family, good as well as I was on crutches when we met, so we haven't got that hurdle to cover.

Thou he lives 250 miles away from me....... but has continually offered to come up and stay near me to save me travelling.

Thou as most of u know I'm built for comfort not speed, hes bit taller than me, but skinny as a rake;), !!

LOL.. You sound just like me and OH.

Me little and round. He like a beanpole. can eat anything the pig, I only have to look and gain a stone.

He looked after his aged mum until he met me at 48. When on our first holiday together to the Algarve, and came back with a stowaway. DD2 arrived 9 months later.

You have fun girl. Just be careful.

    hey guys!
mum2one he sounds fab!!!! I am so pleased for you! bet you can't wait for the holiday!!!

Well as you may or may not know we have moved into our new house and I am finding it really hard to keep on top of all the housework! How the heck do you people do it?? and with kids?! omg!! I'm hoping I just feel worse as there are hundreds of bags everywhere that still need to be sorted from the move but I don't think that is really the issue :( Any tips would be much appreciated!

Car boot sale this weekend, desperately need to make some pennies!!!
