Hi all,
Had a fab day yesterday! I put £10 on the horses, but went through top cash back so £15 cashback, didn't win anything through, OH bet on the one whos jockey broke his arm just before, I did the horse that came 4th, and then we did made in taipan as the outsider, at least we didn't pick the one who wouldn't even set off LOL! OH's first proper day at his new job, so he dropped me off at the pub with my family, was meant to get a lift home with my mum, but my auntie convinced me to stay out, OH ended up picking me up at about half 11, was very drunk, and best thing is I only spent about £12 nd that included a pack of cigs! god love my family lol!! Shouldn't relly have been drinking cos of the tablets im on, but I'm still here! LOL. Hope everyone is well :O) xx'Patience is a virtue till we die. Then a ripple in the water caught my eye'Mrs Jason Orange.Getting organized and thrifty for christmas 2010!0 -

Hello everyone, I've been a little MIA for a couple of weeks. Have been really tired in the evenings (hayfever has already started and it's making me feel exhausted) and so just haven't done much. I've managed a few reads on Dooyoo every now and then but haven't written anything for a while. This week is going to be a little crazy as its my boyfriends birthday on the weekend and we're having a party for him. We worked out it was far cheaper to have our own party then go out for drinks, so we provide food (big pot of mince and veggies with loads of bread) and everyone brings drinks. Our bill normally comes to around £25 for feeding 25-30 people plus having bread for toast in the morning for the stragglers who fell asleep on the floor!
I'm hoping that I will get inspired with Dooyoo again this month and write some reviews. I've been reading quite a few books recently so I can review those. I've set myself a little target of using Dooyoo to pay for a subscription to Love Film. I reckon the reviews I write on the films we get will pay for my half of the subs whilst the extra reviews I read and rate will go towards it too.
I'm going to have a go at saving the money and then treating myself. I'm aiming for £20 so I can get a subscription to a crafting magazine. I'm not sure which yet (so many to choose from) but they are all around the same price.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650 -
Hi guys,
Can't believe I totally missed the Grand National!!! I love watching it but was completely oblivious this year. Oh well.
Challenge wise not really sure how I'm doing. My lovely dad filled up our car the other day so that's at least £20 saved, and we had a big treat the other night as we all had a take-away when really I should have cooked. Does that count as me done????
Have had a few no-spend days so doing OK on that one (as long as you don't count direct debits lol). Dooyoo I have slowed down a bit, finding that although lots of people rating you is great as points go up, it then definitely becomes more time-consuming. But will join in with the 5 reviews per week till the end of the month, think that will suit me OK.
Have a little question for you - can anyone tell me where I can get a bit of info on free games on pay bingo sites? I am already on Bingoport, and notice on there and on here people talking about the free games, but I'm a bit unsure about it as I don't want to have to put any of my money in unless I actually win. Is there a guide out there anywhere? Any info would help -thank you!0 -
did another two reviews on dooyoo last night so did 8 last week. Have another few ideas for this week so should make the target of 5 again hopefully if I have the time.
Have a list as long as your arm of things to do today, hoping the weather will stay nice as have changed the bedsheets and I love putting them out on the line. Need to transfer my seedlings that are doing well (probably wont when i move them)
Last day off work for a few days (off again Friday lol) but i love the lie ins!MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Hurrah! I'm happy, just reached enough for a £20 Amazon voucher on DooYoo. I'm going to use it to buy a book for a friend's birthday and something for my sister's birthday, and a book that I want.
Next time, I'm going to go for the cheque! A lot of the things I want to rate aren't on there, annoyingly, but am going to try Basics Pasta Sauce for dinner tonight, and will review that.0 -
Ive decided to join in and try and get as many vouchers as possible.
I have received £10 Boots from Valued Opinions and only need a further £3.75 till my next one. I have a £15.00 Love 2 Shop voucher ordered with Toluna and have 40000 points towards my next voucher. I have managed to get 40000 points in 10 days so am quite pleased with that. I have also received a £5.00 Amazon voucher from the Premier Foods Advisory Board which I got on through a Toluna survey from last month so will do some more of their discussion when I find the website link. I have had problems with my computer and lost the webpage and it doesnt come up on the Google search. I have tried emailing them but they havent replied yet so will have to wait till I receive another invitation to participate on a topic from them.0
