on the scarce £1 to £20 challenge I have made a measly start and bought a childs coat for 40p and sold it for £3.50 on ebay, making a clear profit of £2.47 with postage and all the fees.

so have £3.47 to play with now. I can only really spend it in one charity shop here that is cheap enough as the other are almost shop prices.
sold a couple of things on ebay making a clear profit of just £5.62 in total, not much but it all mounts up doesnt it?? Have put a load on making the most of the free listings over the weekend :)

Have really slacked on dooyoo lately, one review in about a week is awful when I was doing at least one a day and it will only get worse when I start doing my sage course and revising for the exam :(

welcome to the newbies on here, this is such a friendly group of people, any questions no matter how daft just ask as we all have asked them in the past!!

Hiya Pammy - when does your course start? I bet you can't wait. I retrained 12 years ago now. It was hard trying to fit in work, family and studying but it was worth it in the end. :)

I have decided to teach myself for this level I am doing and do a few mock exams to see how I am getting on, plus I have found a forum for bookkeepers in case I need to ask any questions as they are a really helpful bunch.
    What did you retrain as?

Nothing as clever as bookkeeping LOL.

You'll do brilliantly! I know you will.

You're welcome to anytime-think it would do me good! Passed my 1st exam in Dec after a few weeks of frantic learning but felt a bit more like luck than judgement! Am now trying to make myself learn stuff for assignments to complete level 1 but am doing course by distance learning and I find it so hard to motivate myself when I get home from work!
    Hope you're more disciplined! :rotfl:
