Had a lovely shop around Lidl today, picking up lots of bargains...including a £4 frozen lobster.
It is sitting in the sink defrosting as I write.
I can't say I have ever prepared a lobster at home so has anyone got any advice for me? I would like to try a hot dish I think.....

Google ideas! We've had lobsters from Lidl over the last 2 Christmas' and they've been fab. Very easy to deal with, just cut in half and take the meat out, not forgetting the claws - there is part of the lobster which you throw away - similar to the dead man's fingers in a crab but we used ideas off www and had pictures to look at the 1st time we dissected the lobster. There is a green mush within the lobster which you can eat - we weren't sure about it the 1st time, but actually it is really tasty . I've done lobster thermidor and a lobster salad - there is just enough meat for 2 people. Enjoy!0

look up lobster thermidor on bbc recipes - can't remember all the ingredients but its an creamy onion sauce and you cut the lobster in half (easy enough with a sharp knife!) take the meat out, mix with the sauce and put under the grill - absolutely delicious0

I like mine simple, cut in half, place a few knobs of homemade herb butter on, and grill for 8 mins.0
