Hi,
I have guests coming tomorrow, and I decided to cook thai yellow beef curry, which I usually do with stewing steak and slow cook.
However I got a real bargain on some counter offcuts of fillet steak and rump...
I thought it might be special for them, but how do I cook it and keep it tender, but not be slaving over a hot stove while they are here??
I am assuming that if I slow cook it, it will get tough?? Please stop me from ruining my bargain and going off to buy stewing steak so I can stick to what I know!!
Thanks

Hi,
It should be fine, using a slow cooker - fillet does not have as much flavour when cooked this way (however as your dish will have lots of nice thai flavour, this wont be a problem) ....YUM YUM
Any chance i can come for dinner lolWell Behaved women seldom make history

I personally would go get the stewing steak and freeze the fillet & rump for a later date to eat as steaks.....I wouldn't 'waste' such good cuts by smothering them in curry sauce when they taste so yummy on their own!!0
