Quick Unsecured Loans

Hello

I have put a few postings on a thread for tesco loans but i am after a Plan B.

I have an application for £9k thats with Tesco at the moment, i have been agreed in principle, i have sent off my bank statement and phoned today and they said to call by 5pm if i have not heard off them.

However i have my doubts that they will accept me, i have an excellent credit rating bar the last two months where a family friend who owes us money told me they had paid my Barclaycard monthly payment and it turns out they haven't so that will go against me, however what i can gather tesco would of accepted the credit side of things and they are verifying my bak info, etc.

Should Tesco reject me that will be my own bank - Barclays, Nationwide and Tesco in the space of a week. Am i wasting time keep applying, i know it can go against you.

I own my own house, no debts except £9k on a Barclaycard which we paid for something for the same family friend mentioned above, they were meant to pay it back within 3 months but last week announced they couldn't. I am now stuck with a £9k debt and paying £200 a month covers the minimum payment so we are going nowhere fast with it.

I want to pay off the Barclaycard with a loan and use £200-£250 each month to pay off the loan. I am not sure why i keep getting rejected, i have an income of £560.00 into my Barclays account and £700 into a savings account, Barclays said the loan payments would be £205 and that £560.00 with no outgoings would be fine., my credit rating is good, lived at the same address for 11 years, on the electoral roll, etc.

The next payment is due next week, we are set to go on holiday wednesday and i want this sorted before then.

My question are -

1) Am i wasting my time keep applying?

2) Can anybody recommend anywhere (except for A & L) where you can the funds quickly?

Sorry for the long post, just very concerned that this debt is going nowhere, it could all be in vain and Tesco accept but i want a backup plan

Ive learnt its not good to keep applying as it keeps appearing on your credit history that you keep applying and getting rejected.

Are you going to tell the rest of your circle of friends that this person has stitched you up? I think you should at least threaten to.

No i don't intend to at the moment, if they do not pay the monthly loan amount (should i get one) i will.

Spoke to Barclaycard earlier and they have that i have missed two payments with them, and its still outstanding, i have said i am hoping to pay it off, but i am concerned the impact those two missed payments will have on my file.

As stated i believe i have been accepted credit wise from Tesco, i have signed the agreement but i am wondering whether the missed payments may change things

Why in the WORLD did you agree for your friend to pay the credit card company??

You should have continued to pay the repayments yourself, and had your friend pay YOU the money, that way you could protect your credit file.

Nobody ever pays back. Let's all have a wager on your friend making up the payments and clearing the debt!!
