I am absolutly fuming with dell as I write this I am on hold still, 1 hour 30 minutes so far in total between them and my delivery company who were supposedly deliverying the PC today. Anyway Dell provide you with a tracking number that doesn't work so you have to call synergy their delivery company which you spend a minimum of 30 minutes on hold to a time. Yesterday I call to be told they have tried contacting several times which is complete lies. Anyway they arranged an am delivery with me today only for it not to arrive, I calls up 55 minutes on hold to be told it wasn't even put on the delivery truck and to be told they had no reason to give as to why. I then call Dell to complain and guess what 25 minutes on hold to get through to someone to transfer me to hold midway through a conversation.
DO NOT BUY FROM DELL THEY ARE A COMPLETE JOKE AND DON'T GIVE A SHAT

£30 in calls later and after complaint I am wondering what was the point as Dell don't compensate at all, they will not write a letter of appology all they claim my complaint will acheive is the company making sure it won't happen again. So when I look in google and see its happened consistently to people for a long time then how can I take that seriously. What a waste of time.0

Sorry to hear of your frustrations. Against my better judgment I ordered Mum's Christmas present from Dell on 2nd December. It arrived without issue (and I got a working tracking number so I could follow it) on 15th December.Starting Debt: ~£20,000 01/01/2009. DFD: 20/11/2009 :j

It's non delivery was nothing to do with the Snow it was to do with warehouse problems which I eventually got out of Dell.0 -

This is nearly similar to the problem I had, not as bad as yours.
I ordered a laptop from Dell, last month, received an email saying it was being dispatched and the delivery company would be in touch with a delivery date. I heard nothing.
Checked my order on the Dell website, found the tracking number, which did not work, found a number on the Synergy website, phoned the number, then you have to enter your tracking number, then I got an automated voice saying my laptop was being delivered Tuesday am, I was phoning Monday pm.
Great to let me know, my wife had to lose some hours from work and stay and wait for the delivery, but it was delivered quite early.0 -
I've two laptops, both ordered from Dell, and had no problem with either of them.Undergrad law student. Take my advice with a pinch of salt! :rotfl:0

The 3 we have had from Dell have all arrived from them within an acceptable time. Any problems afterwords have been sorted through the official forums and then their email system. I've never had need to phone them so really can't say what they are like.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

For Dell, substitute any other company, they all have their problems from time to time.0

... quite so. However the treatment of the customer, should a problem arise, is the Epicentre of Reason - when posting that experience on here!
If they shaft their customers.. then SHAFT them, I say..!!Turnip_Edd
