Now I am even more confused

The OR rang DH back this afternoon and re confirmed we are not to deal with the sale of the house AT ALL, and he is sending info out?????

    HELP AND ADVICE please!!!!
  • Then leave him to it... they only normally deal with it if there is equity in it.

Thanks NM-he must know something I don't then-because it was only valued at 120k and the mortgage is 156k!!!!

Maybe a lucrative oil well beneath the house ....in Manchester.....maybe not :rotfl:

I agree with everything NM said in post no 7.

I would however phone the OR and ask exactly he means. Make sure all the utilities are turned off and get meter readings and send them to the utility companies and take photos of the meters. You don't want to be liable for the utilities from date of BR.

Luckily gas and electric are pre paid meters, united utilities know the property is empty too...wonder why we have been so lucky for the OR to deal with this??

    No more Northern Rock :j:j:j

Could it have anything to do with protecting you from incurring solicitors fees with you both being newly BR? They might be looking out for you. I havn't a clue, just working the cogs.. either way kerry I think that's a result you have yourself there!
