Yet Net Figures increase
http://propertytalklive.co.uk/mortgages/2570-net-mortgage-lending-rises-p29bn-in-novemberNet mortgage lending rose by £2.9billion in November, less than in October and below the average for the previous six months, according to the British Bankers' Association (BBA)
And approvals for new homes.
http://imarketnews.com/?q=node/6257ondon (MNI) - Mortgage approvals for house purchase showed a further significant rise in November, according to the Bank of England's latest survey of lending based on UK Lending Panel data.
The latest Trends in Lending report showed mortgage approvals rose to around 63,000 from 60,000 in October (on the same basis)
thats the problem just going off the lending figure when rates are so low the lack of remortgaging dents the figures.
You will not judge the market on gross lending at the moment.0 -
If it's spin & selective stat's you're after, just take a look at your own signature.
I'm really not sure how that could be considered spin, selective maybe but then I guess there's only so much you can fit in a signature. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Double dip here we come.
Our survey says...... No.London (MNI) - Mortgage approvals for house purchase showed a further significant rise in November, according to the Bank of England's latest survey of lending based on UK Lending Panel data.
The latest Trends in Lending report showed mortgage approvals rose to around 63,000 from 60,000 in October (on the same basis). The data come from the six major UK banking groups, and the BOE only began this data series in January this year.
Approvals for new purchase are what drive prices. As you should be well aware from hpc, which is no doubt why you tried so hard to spin the gross lending figures.
Sorry Daddytroll, but the only double dip you'll be getting this Christmas is one of these......

I think we can all agree that Graham is a very special boy, and deserves a day of his own.
Maybe Daddytroll will let him share his ice cream.:T“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

Wow. I'm really looking forward to the falls if this is a snapshot of the type of intelligence the threads are going to show.
