NI Craft Fairs 2010

I went to the one at stormont last year, not as a stall holder, just as an attendee and i was very disappointed, though the weather didnt help matters, the stalls were very far apart and there wasnt much food stalls or craft stalls, though they may change things this year
most stalls were corporate places like mash direct, bouncy castles, climbing walls, petting farm, things like that0 -

Couldn't possibly comment but refer you to Cookie 1's post on P18!Life's a box of beads - rainbow coloured and full of surprises!:D0

There'd need to be at £100 per stall!! Ms Berry by any chance?!
That was why I have been reluctant after reading posts a few pages back about her apparently charging over the odds for stalls. When I saw her name as a contact I thought I'd ask you ladies if you knew anything about it first as I have tried finding info on the actual event & cant (unless I'm missing something)
Does anyone know who Alex Berry is?0 -
I think I'll go with my original gut feeling after reading Cookie1's post & give it a miss.0

does anyone know ms berry? who is she? i have booked a couple of stalls with her including a day at junction 1 at easter and she phoned me at the weekend to try and get me to take more days at it

Guys please be very careful when booking larger events i.e. not just school/church events.
Check whether you are booking direct with the organiser of the whole event or the manager of the shopping centre for example, or if they are acting on behalf of someone else.
Generally speaking those acting on behalf of someone else will be taking their slice of the booking fee and therefore you will be paying well over the odds compared to a fee you might have paid direct to the organiser.
It really is worth reading back through this thread to check out names and contact numbers if you have any doubts at all. It is also advisable to post private threads to other stallholders if you have specific queries about their experiences! Its great to share general info about events, but caution is advised when referring to specific people or events that might be misinterpretted. Some of you will know well exactly why I say this! ;-pIm knitty, Im nutty, but I dont know anyone called Nora.0 -
Hey Super mum, you better not be talking about me lol :kisses3:
Will be writing out to you all this week with map, set up times etc, you have no idea how stressful and hard it is to organise a craft fair. All we normally have to do is turn up, though saying that it has been good fun. I have 15 people on a waiting listso I have booked another fair on 17 June the weekend before the kids stop school (thought this would be good, as parents will be buying teacher pressies lol).
Can't wait to see you all on the 27 MarchJesus is alive!!!0 -
