I've never bothered an assumed stock covered by my house contents insurance? If u mean against theft i hav never looked into it wat does the policy cover?
Life's a box of beads - rainbow coloured and full of surprises!:D
  • Just wondering what kind of price reduction people in NI expect when buying goods priced in Euros...from Southern traders. We know the exchange rate and we know the rate is 90 cent to £1 in shops over the border - but this may not be customers expectations....

    thanks

It covers damage, theft and loss, but only whilst within 30m from the house or in a van (not in a car as it is "within view" apparently), plus there is a small extra premium for overnight cover if, for eg, we leave stock on premises overnight for a 2 day fair. If the stock is for business it isnt covered by home insurance. Apparently it is hard to get traders stock insurance, and the premium I have been quoted is competitive, but still I thought it was more than I was expecting - its £145-ish per year for £2500 cover, and that is ON TOP of liability insurance etc.
