Fri 18th December - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Goooooood morning and three cheers for the last day of term....holidays are almost here:beer::beer:
It's our work do tonight too, so quite happy about that. One DD to school with me, the other has Inset so having a day at home.
Welcome to the newbies who appeared yesterday.....keep posting here!!
*Waves* to you regulars....hope all well:D
Ok, list for today:
Have a fab day all:j

Hi Milly - Thanks for starting the thread.
I am sure that I started the thread but it appears to have disappeared! Ho hum
Fay – good luck at work…..to pass my good vibes to you, black, white, pink, red and purple socks are the order of the day!
Lemon Tree – hope you have a good day at work
Yorkshire Belle – I hope you feel better soon
Anna and Jenny + Luke – welcome to the thread
Today I have/will:
· Checked online banking – payday so moved money about
· Enter comps online
· Daily scratches
· Meals from storecupboards
· Use bus pass to get to work
· Take a coffee to work with me as I have to wait for a connecting bus to get me to work
· Charging phones as I type when the electric is cheap
· Have a NSD
· Washing on 30
· Read more of my library book
· While I am in town, go to the library and get my Christmas reading, so far I have advanced excel books but I also need one on boosting confidence and selling myself
· Work really hard at work
· Look for jobs online at lunchtime
· Finnish off an email to an agency who want details of references
· Send the same agency details of where I am able to work and salary expectations
· Going to a friends house for pre-house move drinks (we are helping them move tomorrow in 10ft of snow!)
Good News on the Christmas working week though, had planned on working then got told that I was not needed as there wouldn’t be any post (I would lose 3 days money as I don’t have any holiday and they would not pay me!)…Anyhow, the boss asked me yesterday if I was available for 2 day’s? – This is good as it means that I am only 1 day short, which I can cope with…. as there are 5 Fridays in January, it means that my week’s wages can go into savings as they are not really needed (hope this makes sense)
Scary news though – called to check the deadlines for timesheets with the agency last night, and it turned out that they need them for keying in before 9am today!…Thanks for the notice….it’s a good thing that I called up!
Think that is about it but I am sure there is more to do, take care everyone
