Hi. My husband has just been diagnosed with sleep apnea. His doctor has advised him to loose some weight, so I am thinking of buying him a wii fit and board for christmas.
I have looked in a few places but they always seem to be out of stock. Please can anyone tell me where I can get one from?
Many thanks.

I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

It's to suppliment his exercise that he does outside, and to keep track of how he is doing. To keep his enthusiasm up a bit.I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

I work for a specialist in sleep apnoea and that isn't very helpful. Patients find that exercise is the last thing they can do (especially the amounts they need to make a significant change in their BMI) because they are just so sleepy during the day. A bit of fun on Wii Fit might be just what the doctor ordered, getting little bits of exercise to build up there fitness until they feel they can do more 'proper exercise'. Sorry to have a dig, it's just that I speak to people with sleep apnoea every single day and know what it's like!:mad:Life is like a box of chocolates..........you always seem to pick the hard ones!0 -

I think it's a great idea! I bought one online from Game a couple of days ago after DD sprung it on me that she wanted one for Christmas! It was around £85 after I used a £5 off code  Not great I know but given the circumstances......! Hth

Despite the people who've had a pop at this comment, as a Personal Trainer & GP Refferals instructor I agree with this comment IN PART.
For an individual to make a significant change to their weight and/or body composition using a Wii Fit, they would have to spend a considerable amount of time on it - far more than doing something of similar intensity levels such as walking. Do you have a dog? Take it out for a walk more often. Don't rely on computer games, as ultimately they will just become a fad and you will end up with them gathering dust in the corner.
Instead of spending the £70-£80 on a Wii Fit board, spend it on 2-3 hours with a decent personal trainer, who will set up a programme that is manageable, sustainable, and ultimately more beneficial.GREENS M'SHIP OFFER NOW CLOSED SO PLEASE DON'T ASK ME!Olympic Debt-free Challenge £2150/£11900 = 18.0%NOW INVESTIGATING AN ALTERNATIVE TO MY IVA - I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ONE ANY MORE!0
