New Headphones

Hi,

My current headphones which I had for many years and liked have broke I'm on the lookout for a new set mostly for listening to stuff from my TV and PC. I'm keen to get some headphones that are comfy and have an easy access volume control again on the wire and of course are decent enough sound-wise. But my budget can't go too high and I'm also having trouble finding ones with an in-line volume dial/control on the wire like my previous headphones.

Previously I had a Goodmans Pro CD 3200. It was pretty good for what I needed, had a sort of auto-extending/retracting top band (no need for adjustment) and had a smooth volume dial on the wire which was handy when browsing Youtube with all the varying volumes. It was a hand-me-down though and the 'cans' were too big for my ears I think (they say L on the side so I guess that means Large?) so most the lower padding was beyond my ears and the harder speaker panel bit would make my ears ache a bit for extended use. Since then the plug has broken multiple times and now beyond repair.

Thanks for any help!

Why not try some cordless ones, i have some with a small transmitter that sits neatly beside the sound system. I use mine about 10.30 pm when others go to bed so that the sound doesnt boom, boom boom upstairs. Volume and on/off buttons on the side.
Very comfy, I got them from currys at about £35 but worth their weight in gold.

Could be wrong but i think probably the L is for left, headphones are made for specific ears,

    Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. Oops you're right lol. L is for Left. Doh! :D Yeah I only use mine too when its late and I don't want to disturb others in the house/neighbours etc.

I've thought about wireless ones, though I dunno if I'd want to have to recharge them etc or how I feel about having the dial on the actual 'can' instead of a wire, since I lie down on my side a lot whilst relaxing. :s

When you take them off at night yu just put the wire back in thats on the receiver, then they just recharge during the day, simple as that.
And I wander off into the Conservatory for a ciggie with no problem.

Have a look in Currys, anyway, they will be quite happy to show you them out of the box.

    Hope you get sorted.
    Regards and Happy Christmas :santa2:

Well don't bother with Maxwell ones- the volume control on them was so rubbish I didn't even wait for them to break to throw them away!
