I was hoping someone could help, I've been pointed in your direction from the OS board and I need an injection of creativity!
The issue (question doesn't really fit the bill) is that I have some unused canvases that I bought to make some pretty artwork and be creative with when we moved into our flat. 2 months on and they're still sitting there. I have brushes and acrylic paints in various colours, I just need to be creative!
Does anyone have any ideas? Or know anywhere I can go to get ideas?
Thanks!
Caroline

do you have any pets? if it was me (as i am the least creative/artistic person in the world and can't draw to save my life!) i would dip their paws in the paint (although may need special non-toxic paints for this?) and get them to walk across the canvas. i guess kids could do this too with handprints and footprints...
or, a famous cricketer (possibly michael vaughan?) has sold some canvases where he has dipped a cricket ball in paint and then thrown it at the canvas, so could you do something similar if there is a sport you are into? probably pretty messy though!
EDIT: yes it is michael vaughan, here's a link to some of his work:

Hi, I would suggest your first place for inspiration would be your local library. You should be able to find lots of art books including beginners books on painting with acrylics to get you started. Failing that, simply google 'acrylic painting' and see what it comes up with. HTHI don't want to make money, I just want to be wonderfulMarilyn Monroe0
