Any suggestions what to do with...

two carrie bags full of scoobie/ scoobidou strings. I cleared out my daughter’s bedroom and had a big tidy up for her birthday this weekend and found all these plastic strings under her bed. Since I don't think they will come in fashion again for a long time, have anyone here got a suggestion what to do with them? Is there any other hobby/craft where they can be used? It seems such a shame to throw them away and she doesn't want them no more.
There are allsorts of colours even glow-in-the dark ones. Some packets are not even opened (guess I can take those to the next car boot sale).

Drop them in at your local junior school. Schools all ways after stuff for kids

on the sameline u could give them to the PTA to use for a craft stall at a fete or sommat... wish i was near u we would love them for our pta lol

Does she like making bead necklaces or bracelets? I've found they make wonderful spare strings when you buy a bead kit.

this might sound a bit silly, and dont know whether it would work, coud you tie them all together, and knitt or crouchet a bag out of them? I know people do it with old carrier bags..

That could be a good idea actually, I got thousands of different beads left from the scoobie craze as well. All I need then is the endings to clip it together.

It's not a silly idea at all. I remember in the 80's when I was a kid we made flower pots and stuff out of plastic bands (they were thinner and flatter then the scoobies) and we wraped them around a plastic round shape some how(cant quite remember). I'll see if i can get som knitting or crouchet patterns, it's worth a try. I got plenty of material.

How about freecycling them? Someone might want to make something of them for fundraising, perhaps, so you'll be shifting clutter and helping someone else.
