Can credit ratings really exist?

Nothing in the world exists like it, no-one else knows where ive worked, who ive had fights with, what ive stolen from, who ive !!!!!ed behind whos back, and so-on
so why do we allow a bloody register of failed debts when I can PROVE i pay all my bills nowadays and my only credit is higher than a loan sharks rates!
I screwed up years ago, debt didnt get out of hand but rather i unknowingly joined a debt management company thinking they were a company who manages my payments like Secure trust onebank etc. so my debts got defaulted and i ended up in debt. After that i resented paying the bills and theyve been chasing me ever since.
Im now in a house under my other halfs name (she doesnt work, i pay the mortgage), in a new location, with one child, a steady job and i pay my bills like i used to... however i have the crappest car in the street because i am too afraid to get credit... last time i asked for my credit report the doorbell rang with collectors. i fobbed them off saying it was going through resolution and then moved house.
is there ANY way i can get round this issue? OR better, get out of it? LAst time i asked for proof of my debts they said they couldnt prove it but it was still owed cos they had record sof the dates, and i had no other response but to say 'ok' and still ignore it.
Annoyingly the last debt didnt default until the other month yet i had the debt cancelled about 4 years ago, meaning im gonna have to wait another 6 years to get out of this crap and own a nice safe car!!!!
I was wondering if a loophole could exist in that its ruining my life so could be classd as bullying or something along those lines, the debts arent enforcable by police for example so in theory have no right to harm me in an administration type of way.
With all this fighting back at banks for unacceptable charges, im wondering, isnt their debt collection behaviour ALSO unacceptable in that i dont have any right to any credit anymore desite being in a credit world and economy that uses credit by its own governments! Its almost a human rights issue, my freedom is hampered because of data kept on machines about me, and wont let me keep up with the status of my friends and neighbours because of this info...
I feel like denying any reference to previous residential addresses because i will be bullied again for debts now out of control and attempting to start a fresh credit file base don my current life.... at least you should be legally allowed to do this if you can prove your not a naive student anymore

Why shouldn't the banks know who pays back their debts on time?
Surely its a cornerstone of sensible lending?0 -

Just so I am clear.. you are looking for a way to totally avoid paying your creditors.... knowing that's not so legal?
Generally on this board people give advice about the best way TO pay back... and THEN life gets easier. Would you be interested in that sort of a discussion at all?Debt free 4th April 2007.

They have a right to know if the person applying for any type of credit has a history of paying it back. It's not much different from asking for qualifications for a job.... can you do it, and should we let you?
I echo Emmzi's question..... do you want advice on how to get your finances in order?
I have debts because I spent the money. Some here ended up with other people's debt through divorce, failed business etc, but mostly, we just spent the money. So did you, I think. You have to deal with it. That is the way to get out of the situation - deal with it so you can move on.
I truly hope it works out for you, and know that the lovely people on here will offer all the advice and support they can. Since lots of them will have been in your situation, they will have some really useful tips.

You make a very good point. However, sometimes there are unknown elements in things but you can still factor these things in even if you don't know everything about them.
For example, Gordon Brown's calculations on many things have to take in to account the turnover of the black market. There aren't many records about that, but we still know it's there and can guesstimate it's size and activities. The UK's GDP wouldn't be what it is without the black market.0 -
It sounds as if you just want to take the easy way out and have all your debt written off. However, you seem like you are in a position now to repay the debt that they are currently chasing you for.
If you have spent the money why don't you want to repay it?-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

Running away doesn't achieve anything - as you have found out now you want to buy a new car.
Don't insult the genuinely caring people on this forum by saying that you are trying to escape from your past financial problems and asking if there are any "loopholes". They have all faced up to their problems and that takes a lot of guts to do - something which at first glance it appears you may be lacking.
If you are in a position to pay (as you stated), then clear your debts, improve your credit rating & THEN buy your "nice safe car".
Please don't try to avoid paying off the money you spent in the past & then moan about it on here - not everybody will be sympathetic to your behaviour.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇
